Text: Romans 6:12–14
Title: "The Application of Doctrine"

In Romans 6:12 you meet with the application of tremendous facts regarding the believer's spiritual state in Jesus Christ:

All believers have been joined to Jesus Christ in His death.
All believers will certainly be joined to Jesus Christ in a resurrection like His.
The purpose of this union is that the body of sin might be brought to nothing
This change is permanent. The old self has been crucified with Christ and buried.
All of this points to the fact that the believe's relationship to sin has been forever changed.

Now what? This Lord's Day we will think through the application of that glorious doctrine, and we will have the opportunity to think about the application of biblical doctrine in a way that characterizes any faithful approach to Scripture.
