Adult Bible Fellowship

Here at Founders Baptist, our Adult Bible Fellowship classes help us live out the truths of the Word. You will be encouraged in your walk with Christ through engaging studies and to be busy sharing your faith with others and in serving in this local church. Also, Adult Bible Fellowship is where you will meet with a smaller group of believers and develop close, intimate relationships. Each week you will be given the opportunity to share prayer requests and minister to one another. You will have many opportunities to rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. All of these things and more are a part of Adult Bible Fellowshihp each and every week.

Recognizing there are many different people that make up the body of Christ, all having different needs in their walk, we have specific and general classes available. But either way, we are confident that at Founders you can find an Adult Bible Fellowship that will provide friends to walk the Christian life with and give you with opportunity to exercise your unique gifts for service to the body of Christ. Our classes are open, inviting, and excited to welcome new people at any time. Come and join us as we walk together with Christ and love one another!

Our Bible Fellowship classes begin at 9am every Sunday, followed by our time of corporate worship at 10:30.

Kids

Parents,

Thank you for entrusting us with your children!   We have two main goals when your children are in our care:

  1. Teaching them the truth from God’s Word.  We do this by utilizing Answers in Genesis curriculum and having wonderful teachers who spend time studying each week.
  2. Keeping your children safe and secure. We take this very seriously and use every reasonable step to give you peace of mind and ensure your child is protected while in our care.

We cannot do either of these without your help.  Parents should be the first and primary Bible teachers of their children.  I am here to help along with so many of our other volunteers and staff members.  You are not alone!

CJ Malott,
Family Pastor

Youth

Founders Student Ministry exists to glorify God by coming alongside the families of Founders Baptist in the shepherding of their children. We firmly believe that the only means by which hearts can be challenged and changed is through the Word of God, and therefore everything we do as a ministry centers around the faithful teaching and applying of scriptural truth to the lives of the students. We do this through larger group times of teaching, splitting up into small groups, and many other opportunities for discipleship and counseling. Our prayer is that each student would be transformed by the grace of God through Christ, and equipped to faithfully serve in all aspects of biblical ministry.

We meet twice a week:

Sunday Morning:
We begin our Sunday morning sessions together in the REC Center at 9am.

Wednesday Nights:
THRIVE is from 6:30-8:00pm. We meet upstairs in the Assembly Room of the Children's Building for teaching.  Then following our study we head to the REC center for fellowship and games.

‍Please feel free to contact Aaron Wragg with any questions or concerns you may have regarding student ministry here at FBC.

Missions & Evangelism

Commissioned by God
Evangelism is the active preaching or presentation of the Gospel with the goal of bringing the hearer, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to faith in Jesus Christ, and thus into a right relationship with God. God has given all believers the privilege and responsibility of being ambassadors of Christ and ministers of reconciliation in the world (2 Cor 5:17-21). The missions effort at Founders Baptist Church seeks to further the spread of the good news of Jesus Christ to our own community and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8).

Mission Field: Spring, TX
Here at Founders we are passionate about reaching this city with the saving message of God’s grace found in Jesus Christ alone. Our desire is to see all of Spring, TX bowing joyfully in worship before our great God. Therefore, we are committed to doing local outreach on a consistent basis. This includes everything from preaching in local jails and nursing homes to having one-on-one conversations on people’s doorsteps and at local events. Please join us from 9:00am to 11:30am in the Fellowship Hall on the last Saturday of each month as we strive together to fulfill the commission that our Lord has given us. Don’t let inexperience keep you away, we always make sure that those who are learning to evangelize are paired with experienced leaders, and we even hold quarterly training sessions to equip you to share this glorious gospel with others. For more information on what we do and how you can get involved, contact Clay Howard at clayandnikky@hotmail.com.

To the End of the Earth
We are commanded to make disciples of all the peoples of the world (Matthew 28:19), and here at FBC we want to be obedient to that command. We long to see men and women worshiping the Lamb from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues (Revelation 7:9). Therefore, although we continue to support church plants in cities like San Antonio, Boston, Baltimore, and London, we are also vitally concerned about planting churches where Christ has not yet even been named (Romans 15:20). To that end we support a variety of missionaries and seminaries who are seeking to shine the light of Christ in dark lands, and, whenever possible, we seek to go to such places ourselves. In recent years, we were blessed to be able to proclaim the name of Jesus in some of the most remote villages in Belize and inner-city communities of Guatemala. Please join us in praying for God’s guidance as we consider the possibilities for mission trips in the future. For more information on the foreign missions effort here at Founders, contact David Strassner at missions@foundersbaptist.org.

Founders Media

“Walking in Grace” Media Ministry is dedicated to providing study materials, sermon audio and video, books and other resources to the Founders church family locally and the universal church nationally and internationally.

We currently provide a radio broadcast, “Walking In Grace,” which coverse the greater Houston area and can be heard on KKHT 100.7 FM, Monday through Friday at 6:30pm & 2:00am. Each radio broadcast is taken from the verse by verse expositional messaged preached by Pastor Caldwell at Founders Baptist in our Sunday am, pm and Wednesday pm services.

In addition, through sermonaudio.com, the Founders Media Ministry has been able to transmit a live webcast of all our weekly worship services, upload 1,579 sermons in audio format (including some in video), adding to this archive three new sermons per week. Our partnership with Sermon Audio has allowed us to reach a wider audience with the expository teaching of the word of God. As of December 2011 the Founders Media Ministry through Sermon Audio has been able to reach approximately 1,037,967 people in 69 countries.

Every week Founders transmits a live webcast of all our worship services. This can be a very powerful tool for any member of the church who, for one reason or another, is not able to attend a service but will like to take part of the worship and the teaching of the word of God from a remote location. This can also be a powerful evangelistic tool, as members can invite friends and love ones who do not know Christ to tune in to the webcast.

Spanish Translation: Currently we are providing our Spanish speaking members with radio devices that allows them to listen to a live simultaneous translation of our worship services. This devices can be checked out from the Founders Media Center in the foyer. From the website, we are also transmitting a live webcast of the service translated to Spanish.

Founders Media Ministry produces Pastor Caldwell’s Sermon Series in CD albums. These packages can be a great tool for your personal grow and evangelism. They make excellent gift ideas, giving you the opportunity to reach your friends and love ones with the word of God. These sermon series albums can be purchased at the Media Center as well as online.

Biblical Counseling

Biblical Counseling/Discipleship is the Spirit-empowered process of one Christian coming along side another with words of encouragement, admonition, comfort and help, drawn from scripture and presented in the context of relationship towards God and man (full of grace and truth, John 1:14).

The goal of this counseling is that the “brother” or “sister” in need of spiritual counsel (dealing with a sin or trial) would grow in his understanding of how the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ speaks to every area of his new life in Christ, and by God’s grace, in grateful obedience in every circumstance to the building up of the church, the evangelization of the lost and all for the glory of God.

At Founders, we value Jesus Christ and teach that the intent of all doctrine in the Bible is to know and be like him. But doctrine has no real benefit without investing it and applying it to our lives. And this is where Biblical Counseling comes in. It is the discipline of practical theology, that is, moving from the theological principles of God’s Word to the practical outworking of those principles in the life of the believer.

So, we offer one-on-one counseling and discipleship opportunities through this ministry with the goal of people understanding the full gospel of Jesus Christ and having that transform their lives one day at a time.

If you are in need of counseling—be it marital, personal, relational, etc.‚—please contact Mark White, Senior Associate Minister, at mark.white@foundersbaptist.org, or 281-350-1616. For women's counseling, please contact Melissa Helms at melissa.helms@foundersbaptist.org.
